Wed, 28 November 2007 By now you know I am a radio host who interviews dozens of people every
week on my radio show.
But do you know how many actually do those interviews well?
In fact, most radio and TV hosts hate interviewing authors! I know that hurts, but it's the truth. To help, I have put together a training program (it starts this Tuesday,
Dec. 2) designed to make you a great interview that media is excited to talk
to.
It's the most affordable class you will ever find for media coaching and
you will be completely finished in 2 weeks!
Please take a moment to see the details at:

Thanks. If you have any questions, please call me at 1-250-512-1281 Wayne Kelly Your Radio Coach Comments[0] |
Mon, 26 November 2007 Every week I keep my eyes open for an effective media release. Why this one caught my eye is because I could see it on many different styles of radio shows. It can be for the busy mom market...or the single men market...or the new college student market. Here it is: Shhhhhhhh.... don't tell anyone but there's a helpful site on the Internet that crawls the web to find recipes based on what's in your kitchen right now. That's right -- based on what's stashed in your fridge and in the corners of your cabinets. The name? Supercook.com, and it has a database of 250,000 recipes. Supercook locates recipes on the web and then tells you exactly how many recipes you can make altogether, broken down into 'Starters,' 'Entrees,' and 'Dessert' categories. All you have to do is simply list all the ingredients you have. It will also suggest other recipes that need one or two additional ingredients if you're willing to dash off to the corner store. Assaf Rozenblatt is the 27-year-old founder of Supercook.com. This Brooklyn, New York-based entrepreneur is also founder of a language search engine called Brainboost.com. Contact Assaf Rozenblatt at: Keep tuning in for other samples that I think do a great job of grabbing the eye of the media! Wayne Kelly The Radio Guy Comments[0] |

Wed, 14 November 2007 Being a radio host, I get the opportunity to talk about any topic I feel like talking about. I have found that the best way to really connect with my audience is to discuss the everyday topics that everyone can relate to. This is the secret to great interviews...be relatable to the audience and feel free to make em laugh. Wayne Kelly The Radio Guy!

Wed, 7 November 2007 In this edition of Wednesdays with Wendy & Wayne we share a very sad story about a woman who called the radio station trying to get publicity for her new book. I wish I could tell you this call was an exception, but calls like this happen almost weekly, and most authors don't even know that they are doing something wrong. Listen to this podcast now, because if you make this same mistake...you could get banned from media forever! Wendy and Wayne Comments[0] |

Sat, 3 November 2007 I love sharing media coaching tips on this podcast but today I want to share a bit of the Wayne and Jayne show. Here's a 2 minute snippet of what I do in a typical morning. Wayne Kelly Comments[0] |
Sat, 3 November 2007 People often forget that the most import piece in your publicity puzzle is people. Treat everyone well and you will stand out. Isn't it said that we even have to talk about treating people well. You'd be amazed at the number of people who contact a producer and come across like the media owes them something because they just released a new book. Wed, 31 October 2007 When it comes to doing a successful interview, prep work is key! Susan Reid wanted an interview for her website so she contacted me. She studied my On Air Publicity Interview Manual, She created a media release and media page from my easy top follow samples and our first interview was a home run. If she didn't study and just decided to wing it, I can guarantee it wouldn't have been so smooth. Take a listen to a first time interview by Susan Reid.
